If your plaque is to be securely fastend to something stiff at all four corners you may win but if this is to hang with normal picture hanging methods you may have problems. Large deep reliefs carved in faces of wood tend to relieve the stress of the wood in one direction and then the board cups.
Signmakers / Woodworkers :: RE: INFANT JESUS http://forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?p=30092#30092 Author: govind
Subject: Re: INFANT JESUS
Posted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 4:11 pm (GMT 0)
Topic Replies: 1

please do more details u can develop more in this design. try ur level best
i will help u
_________________
I HAVE LITTLE EXPERIENCE IN CAD CAM SOFTWERE.
Jewellery Makers :: RE: Sigh...... http://forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?p=30091#30091 Author: rwright
Posted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 3:38 pm (GMT 0)
Topic Replies: 19

Just a shot in the dark here, but have any of you tried increasing the page file (SWAP FILE) size in windows? that just might help a little. I would also like to have the ability to change the resolution of those layers individually, I think this could be a solution for the memory HOG that is 08. Although I model at 50 in jewelsmith, I don't need that resolution for every layer, only for the detail. Perhaps it would save some of the machine overhead if we could use lower resolutions on areas that don't need it.

next I would like the ability to save these nested layers so that I could load it and all its sublayers via a function similar to the load/paste function.

Next give us some control over the machine overhead, if it would increase my performance by turning off the preview/thumbnails of the layers I would do it in a second, these things are worthless anyway. I don't know if there are other superfluous options that are using resources that I don't need to be running, but if there are, let me choose what to use.

Lastly I know many have asked for an autosave, and it sounds like Delcam is not willing to do this, so could we at least have an option that when we choose to "update the 3dp" that it goes ahead and saves the dang file too? I honestly don't know why someone would choose to update the 3dp and not want it saved? but evidently someone thought that this is how the majority of users would like things. Just give us the option that every time it prompts us to update to save too.

I really hope that 09 will be more than a hotfix for 08 as I fear it is going to be, I would really like an upgrade to include some new functionality
Posted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 9:26 am (GMT 0)
Topic Replies: 1

这要看你当时的情况
分层了的话就直接删除这个

没有分层的话
如果这个部分假设是产生60度的浮雕
那么你就负60再产生一次就刚好相减了
假设而已
_________________
msn：diaoyirensheng@hotmail.com

Signmakers / Woodworkers :: RE: pls help me about this wave relif http://forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?p=30088#30088 Author: pankajwalke
Subject: Re: pls help me about this wave relif
Posted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 5:53 am (GMT 0)
Topic Replies: 3

thanks

pls give me ur mail ads

shirish b wrote:

pankajwalke wrote:

anybody help me to create this relif

Hi Pankaj,

To model this you can use the 2 Rail Sweep for each section as shown in the attached image. Please take a look over it.

Also the similar shape can be achieved by using 2D Machining by using the V-Bit carving with Ball Nose, but in this case the user will need to create close vectors of each section. Then V Bit will identify the center line and the Depth will be proportional to width, due to which the similar shape can be achieved.

The other option would be create a single open vector in the center of each section and then Create a Toolpath Along Vector using Ball Nose, Create the relief as shown and then project this 2D Toolpath onto created relief using Transform Toolpath - Project On Relief function which is available in ArtCAM 2008 onwards. Hope this information helps.

Thanks,
Shirish

Showcase :: RE: my new project http://forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?p=30087#30087 Author: khalid
Posted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 5:37 am (GMT 0)
Topic Replies: 4

Very beautiful cutting and i think its Islamic art in gril:)
Following is my email address i will be happy if u can send it to me..

engr_khalid_khattak@yahoo.com
Best Regards
Signmakers / Woodworkers :: RE: Custom Wood Plaque http://forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?p=30086#30086 Author: mikes
Posted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 1:15 am (GMT 0)
Topic Replies: 12

Bill,
you might try cook hardwoods in Or. http://www.cookwoods.com/ they are great people and will help you out in a fabulous fashion.
mike
Signmakers / Woodworkers :: RE: Custom Wood Plaque http://forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?p=30085#30085 Author: gingem
Posted: Fri Jul 25, 2008 11:52 pm (GMT 0)
Topic Replies: 12

Thanks Ed

I'll look into it a bit more.
_________________
Have A Great Day!
Bill
Jewellery Makers :: RE: Sigh...... http://forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?p=30084#30084 Author: DKD
Subject: Book & Memory
Posted: Fri Jul 25, 2008 11:44 pm (GMT 0)
Topic Replies: 19

Hello Michael, I have that book... it is the JewelSmith book that I want. I think your previous postings hit the problem dead center. I'll scratch my head a little though and see if I can think of anything at all for you to try. If they want to see grain I would try white oak or maple. And for the extra time picking out the wood you should get extra money. Whoever does it may need to charge for a glue-up too because you don't usually get hard woods 30 inches wide.

then again there are a few companies that sell sign blanks if they want a standard shape.

When you have half an hour, go over to your local hard wood distributer. Just look at the variety and smell the wood.

You could ALSO V carve the sign through a veneer thats a different wood then the base.
_________________
I will never be a Guru, no matter what the site says.
General Discussion :: RE: using search http://forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?p=30082#30082 Author: design antonio
Posted: Fri Jul 25, 2008 6:35 pm (GMT 0)
Topic Replies: 4

what I was wanting to do is to load in a setting.
